Nick Saban Tuesday Press Conference (And Other Stuff)

Coach talking to the media after Tuesday's practice. He singled out AJ McCarron, DJ Fluker, and true freshman Amari Cooper for being consistent. Looks like I'm gonna have to do a "Rising Star" post about Cooper soon. Alot is being said about him

Y'all know how Auburn uses those cute little cards to call plays from the sidelines, right? Well they have a NEW ONE that you might find interesting. I think it's pretty funny

Today was the first practice in full pads. They had to practice indoors for the first time, because of rain. Freshman Chris Black is the only player that is limited by any injury right now. He got his ass lit up by fellow freshman Ryan Anderson Sunday and has been hobbled since then. Either way, he was running routes and going through drills but not taking contact

Tana Patrick continues to look like he is going to push for alot of playing time at OLB this year.

Eddie Lacy, who has had some Tide fans worried about his health, appeared to be full speed and was going through everything just fine. He'll rush for about 1,200 yards this season if he's healthy. I'd say 1600 or more if he didn't have such talented guys behind him that will push for carries, but such are the spoils of having so many great players at one time

Very good read HERE from Matt Hinton on Alabama's supreme ability to replace departed players and keep rolling

KEVIN NORWOOD and Kenny Bell look to be the leaders of the Tide WR corps this year. More on the WR's HERE

Alabama still awaiting word on the eligibilty of freshman BRANDON HILL

ALABAMA COMMIT DARIUS PAIGE transfers high schools and stirs up some controversy in the process

Nick Saban's SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY

Duron Carter quickly showed why we shouldn't worry too much about him not working out at Bama. Clearly the guy still has some growing up to do and we won a National Title without him, and we're about to win another one, still without him, so whatever.

ESPN thinks they are funny with the cover of their CFB Preview Mag. Check it out HERE

"We don't celebrate much here. It doesn't matter what we win. I think after the championship game, we took off 72 hours, and then went back to work. There isn't any complacency here. That's how people lose their jobs" - AJ McCarron, who continues to impress me more every day. I believe he is going to go down as one of our all time greats when he leaves and most of us realize that he is severely underrated. I wouldn't trade him for anyone else in the country
